Description
The art of cutting and pasting, known as collage, does not appear here merely as a style or technique I followed in producing my artworks. Rather, it comes as a symbolic and expressive indication of Gaza’s condition before and after the genocide it was subjected to. Within its layers, you find both planned and chaotic urbanism, sorrow and joy, the old and the new, black and white—countless contrasts and contradictions. Yet there is one common thread that unites them all: the will to live among its people. This is not an attempt to beautify the image, but rather a glimpse into the scattered features of thatimage.
